PROJECTS

Cargo Containers

HUMANITARIAN AID

During the first few months of missions in South Africa, the family of Sergei and Ella Selyukov noticed a great need in basic necessities within the community, mission schools, and centers for orphan children.

Upon returning home for a visit to Minnesota, USA, many reached out to put together a 4-ton container carrying much-needed clothing, shoes, and toys. In addition to family, friends and church members; several companies and stores also played a huge role in donating clothes, shoes and other needed supplies.

Although great outcomes came from the first benefit container, the ongoing needs have inspired Hope International volunteers to facilitate a second container in the near future. With the construction of new development underway at the mission, hope international is currently in need of building material to keep projects moving. With prices for building material at a skyrocket high within South Africa, construction volunteers will soon be at a halt without help from supporters. In addition to building material, we hope to replenish our supply of basic needs with the arrival of a second container that would allow volunteers to continue supplying communities with clothing, shoes and personal hygiene necessities.

As of 2018, Home of Hope has become a focus point of Hope International Foundation. The vision for this project is to create a home for children who are physically, emotionally and socially abused.

Home of Hope is being built in the rural village of Mpumalanga province, just north of Swaziland, in South Africa. The children will not be taken away from their community nor separated from their cultural environment. Instead, we wish to build up the community by instilling in these children quality education, mastered skills and eventually provide employment opportunities for them to communicate their acquired skills within their own village.

We believe that by raising these children in love and care, with special attention to each individual's needs, we can nurture a much brighter future for their lives and ultimately the entire community.
